Since my very first trip there in 1984, Cortona has continued to be the most inspirational place for me and my work. I honestly have come to believe that there is some special creative vibration, deep down under the ground there, under all those layers of art and civilizations, that was felt by the artists and cultures that walked on those same stones and footpaths ages ago, up in the palm of the mountaintop that cradles the town.
