Photography Mentoring, Atlanta Georgia

It was an honor to put together a day of street photography for Mary, and to see her doing what she loves and does best.

Private Photography Lessons – Atlanta, GA

The foremost thing when working with a new photographer is to listen. Ideas for subject matter are the first element that falls into place, but there’s something that goes much deeper when we collaborate, and this personal workshop I set up for Mary took on a flow all it’s own.

When we are out together in the field, I often ask for a “Sign of Synchronicity”. The symbol I pre-imagined a few days before Mary arrived in town for our Atlanta Photo Workshop was drumming, because next to photography, drumming is Mary’s other passion. It was a fun surprise walking into the third of our 6 location spots from our day and meeting… a very accomplished drummer!

Our Photography connects us …Mary unexpectedly meets a new drumming teacher 🙂

Thanks so much for your kind words Mary and I look forward to seeing some of your favorite shots soon!

I recently took a one-on-one photography workshop with Robin Davis. We spent a day in Atlanta. Robin had the day all planned, going places where we could find some interesting characters. I had a great time and got some great shots. What impressed me most about Robin was that as she supported and led me to be MY best. She allowed me to be me and to shoot the way that made me comfortable. She never forced her way on me, just gentle support and lots of inspiration. I am excited about photography again.” –Mary Tuggle
