A beautiful French Angel kneels in Avignon, near the Papal Palace, where a series of seven French Popes resided during the brief 67 years when the Papacy was not centered in Rome, starting in 1309. I am thinking the Angel is from a much later period but I am not sure when.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
